  • What is included in a full detail from Word of Mouth Detailing?

We can make your car look like it did on the showroom floor – clean cracks and crevices, a shiny motor, tires that glisten, and paint that explodes with color. When we’re finished, your car will look as close as possible to the day it rolled off the showroom floor. This is how we do it:

    • The car is washed and dried by hand
    • The paint is clayed to remove bonded contaminants
    • We clean, polish, and seal the paint
    • The molding and trim are dressed to protect against the elements
    • The wheels are cleaned, polished, and sealed
    • The exterior and interior glass are cleaned and polished
    • All exterior chrome and metal trim is polished and sealed
    • Headlights are polished
    • Wheel wells are cleaned and dressed
    • The engine is degreased and dressed and the metal is polished and sealed
    • The door jams are cleaned, polished, and sealed
    • The interior and trunk are thoroughly vacuumed
    • The carpets and floor mats are shampooed and extracted
    • Cracks and crevices are steamed with a vapor steamer
    • Dust is removed from the dash and vinyl surfaces
    • Vinyl surfaces are dressed to your wishes
    • The leather is deep cleaned and dressed
    • Headliner is deep cleaned
    • Vanity and rearview mirrors are cleaned
    • No fragrances are added

  • How often should I have my vehicle fully detailed by Word of Mouth Detailing?

That’s up to you. We detail some vehicles once a month. Others are detailed twice a year. Some customers bring their ride for detailing when the season changes. Your driving habits and where your vehicle is stored play a role in how often you have your car detailed.

  • How long does a full detail by Word of Mouth Detailing take?

Usually, our comprehensive service takes eight to 10 hours to complete. Follow-up “maintenance” detailing takes four to five hours.

  • Can Word of Mouth Detailing remove the swirls on my vehicle’s paint?

Based on our experience, swirls can be removed or greatly reduced in almost all vehicles.

  • Should I let the vehicle dealership wash my car?

Word of Mouth Detailing  ALWAYS recommends that our customers decline the “free” dealership wash. This is because it only takes one improper wash job to undo the hours of work that it took to make your paint perfect. We recommend that only you wash your car. We teach our customers how to properly care for, wash, and dry their vehicles. We can perform handwashing if you don’t have the time. We use proper materials and techniques to keep your vehicle swirl-free.

  • In the opinion of Word of Mouth Detailing, should I go through automatic car washes?

No, we advise you do not use this type of car wash system. This is because you don’t know the last time the “cloth strips” in the automatic car wash were laundered, where the dirt from previous vehicles has gone, the impact of the strips on your vehicle’s clear coat, and so on.

  • Does Auto Detailing Increase the Value of Your Car?

The exterior of a vehicle includes the paint, trim, and wheels. Having a professional detailer clean these very visible parts of your car will make it more attractive to potential buyers. That may increase your car’s trade-in value or selling price if you decide to sell your vehicle or trade it in for a new one.

So when’s the best time to detail your car, if you’re thinking about getting a new one? That would be just before you think about selling or trading in your vehicle so that you can net the most amount possible.

  • Does Detailing Your Car Add Value?

Detailing your car is a process that’s designed to keep it looking fresh and clean. The detailing process can make your vehicle look new, but there are some things you should know before starting this project.

If you have a car worth more than $30,000, detailing it may be the best investment you can make. A good detailing job will not only make your car look nicer and last longer, but it will also hold its value better. The cost of maintaining a vehicle goes up with age and mileage, but detailing your car can be an important part of helping it hold on to as much of its resale value as possible. Professional detailing is also an important part of proper classic car maintenance to help maintain value.

  • Is It Worth Detailing a Car Before Selling?

It can be a lot of work to detail a car before selling it, but many people do so because it makes it look great and helps increase the price. If you detail your car, it will look newer and cleaner. You can save yourself a lot of work (and get more professional results) by taking your car for professional auto detailing. A good detailer should tell you if there are any major issues with your paint or other parts of your car’s exterior.

But the exterior isn’t the only part of the car that will be taken into consideration when you offer it for sale or as a trade-in. A clean engine compartment also gives the impression of a car that’s newer, well-maintained and therefore more value. So when you consider having your car detailed, engine detailing is a good service to include. And interior detailing can help bring extra shine to your car’s leather seats and other surfaces.
